Refund and Cancellation Policy
This policy explains when Monezzi issues refunds, when fees become non-refundable, how to cancel a subscription, and how to submit a refund request. It applies to all Monezzi services purchased by you or on your behalf.
Last updated: 2026-05-26
1. Introduction
This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to every product and service offered by Monezzi, including LLC formation, EIN application, BOIR filing, registered agent service, mail forwarding, ITIN application, federal and state tax filings, bookkeeping and any add-on feature billed by Monezzi.
It should be read together with our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. Where this policy is silent, the Terms of Use govern.
2. When refunds apply
A refund of the Monezzi service fee may be requested within seven calendar days of the original order date, provided that work on the order has not yet started.
Work is considered started when any of the following has occurred for the order: the state filing has been submitted to the relevant Secretary of State, the EIN application has been transmitted to the IRS, the BOIR has been filed with FinCEN, an ITIN application has been submitted, or a registered agent has been appointed on your behalf.
After the seven calendar day window has expired, or once work has started — whichever comes first — the order is no longer eligible for a full refund. Partial refunds may still be considered as described in section five.
3. What is refundable
Only the Monezzi service fee component of an order is refundable, and only while work has not yet started. Specifically, the Monezzi service fee is refundable if all of the following are true:
- The state filing has not been submitted to the Secretary of State.
- The EIN application has not been transmitted to the IRS.
- The BOIR has not been filed with FinCEN.
- The ITIN application has not been mailed or otherwise submitted.
- No registered agent appointment has been recorded with a state on your behalf.
If every item above is true and the seven calendar day window has not yet expired, the Monezzi service fee is refunded in full.
4. What is not refundable
Certain fees are not refundable once Monezzi has incurred them on your behalf or remitted them to a third party. These include, without limitation:
- State filing fees, franchise tax fees and any other amount paid to a Secretary of State or state agency, once submitted.
- USPS, mailroom, courier, mail-forwarding and scanning fees, once dispatched or once a mailing address has been activated.
- IRS or state penalties, interest charges and late fees of any kind.
- ITIN application fees, including the certified acceptance agent component, once the application has been prepared or submitted.
- Registered agent fees once the agent year has begun, regardless of whether the entity remains active for the full year.
- Subscription fees already billed for an active monthly or annual period, including prior periods that have already elapsed.
- Third-party payment processor fees withheld by the card network or bank.
5. In-flight services and partial refunds
If work on an order has already started for one component but not another, Monezzi may at its discretion refund the unstarted portion only.
For example, if the LLC has been formed but the EIN application has not yet been transmitted, the EIN service component may be refunded while the formation component is not. Partial refunds always exclude state filing fees, USPS or mailroom fees and any other amount already paid to a third party on your behalf.
Partial refund decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and communicated to you in writing.
6. Cancellation window for subscriptions
You may cancel any active subscription at any time from your Monezzi account or by contacting Monezzi support. Cancellation becomes effective at the end of the current billing period.
Monezzi does not prorate or refund the unused portion of a monthly or annual subscription that has already been billed. Your subscription benefits remain available to you until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the subscription stops renewing.
Cancelling a subscription does not cancel any one-time order that is still in progress. One-time orders are governed by the rules in sections two through five above.
7. Subscription renewals and annual billing
Annual subscriptions renew automatically on the anniversary of the original billing date, unless you cancel before the renewal date. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically on each monthly billing date until cancelled.
Because annual renewals are billed in advance and cover services that we begin providing on the renewal date, the annual fee is not refundable once charged. To avoid an annual renewal charge, you must cancel before the renewal date.
Where a subscription includes a third-party component for which Monezzi has paid the third party in advance — such as a state-anchored registered agent year or a prepaid mail-forwarding term — that component remains non-refundable in line with section four.
8. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact Monezzi first so that we can review the order and, where appropriate, issue a refund directly. Most disputes can be resolved within five business days without involving your card issuer.
Opening a chargeback with your card issuer before contacting Monezzi may result in immediate suspension of your account and of the services you have ordered, including registered agent service, mail forwarding and tax filings, until the dispute is resolved.
Where Monezzi has already remitted fees to a third party, such as a state filing fee or an IRS submission, those amounts will be contested with full documentation. Chargebacks deemed invalid by the card network may be re-billed.
9. How to request a refund
To request a refund, please email billing@monezzi.com with the following information: your order ID, the email address on the account, a short description of what you are requesting and the reason for the request.
Monezzi will respond in writing within five business days, confirming whether the request is approved, partially approved or declined, and explaining the basis for the decision.
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within five to ten business days of approval. Depending on your bank or card network, the credit may take an additional billing cycle to appear on your statement.
10. Disputes
If you disagree with a refund decision, you may escalate the request to Monezzi support and ask for a senior review. The dispute resolution, governing law and venue terms set out in our Terms of Use apply to any matter that cannot be resolved informally.
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.
