Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Monezzi uses on monezzi.com, why we use them, and how you can control them.

1. Introduction
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They let the site remember information about your visit — for example, that you have already accepted a consent banner, or that you are signed in. Similar technologies (local storage, tracking pixels, web beacons) work the same way and are covered by this policy as well.
Monezzi operates the website at monezzi.com. We are the controller of any personal data collected through cookies set by us directly, and we work with a small number of third-party providers — listed below — who set their own cookies when you use parts of our service.
For full details about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy. This Cookie Policy is a focused supplement that covers only the cookies side.
2. The cookies we use
We group cookies into three categories based on what they do. The summary table below lists the specific cookies you should expect to see when you visit the site, and the sections after it explain each category in detail.
3. Essential cookies
Essential cookies are required for the website to function correctly. They cannot be switched off through the consent banner because the site would stop working without them. They do not store advertising profiles or track you across other websites.
nsid — Monezzi first-party analytics cookie
The nsid cookie is set by Monezzi only — never by JavaScript on the browser, and never by a third party. It is a first-party cookie used to recognise your device across visits so we can detect abusive sign-ups, prevent automated fraud against checkout, and study how real visitors move through the product so we can improve it.
The nsid cookie lasts for up to 5 years. It does not contain your name, email or any other directly identifying information. It is a random reference that links back to behavioural signals stored on our servers under the terms of our Privacy Policy.
Session and security cookies
When you sign in to your Monezzi account we set a short-lived session cookie that keeps you authenticated. We also set a CSRF token cookie that protects forms from cross-site request forgery attacks. Both are cleared automatically when you sign out or close the browser.
4. Analytics — Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors interact with our pages — which articles are read, which steps of the formation flow are completed, where visitors leave. This information is anonymized and aggregated; we do not use GA4 to identify individual people.
GA4 sets cookies in the _ga and _ga_* family that last up to two years. Data collected through these cookies is processed by Google on our behalf, including transfer to servers outside your country of residence. You can refuse GA4 entirely through our consent banner without affecting your ability to use Monezzi.
5. Marketing — Meta Pixel
When you accept marketing cookies, we load the Meta Pixel — a small script provided by Meta (Facebook and Instagram). The Pixel sets the _fbp cookie so Meta can tell us, in aggregate, whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to sign-ups, and so that the same ad is not shown to you forever after you have already become a customer.
The _fbp cookie lasts about 90 days. Data collected through the Pixel is processed by Meta under its own privacy terms in addition to ours. You can refuse marketing cookies through our consent banner and we will not load the Pixel at all.
6. Third-party services
A handful of third-party providers may set cookies on monezzi.com when you use specific parts of the service. We list them here so you know what to expect.
- Stripe — when you start a checkout, Stripe sets its own cookies (stripe_* / __stripe_*) to process the payment securely and detect payment fraud. These cookies are essential for the payment to work and we cannot complete a paid transaction without them.
- Google Fonts — our pages load the Inter, Plus Jakarta Sans and Tajawal font families from Google’s font CDN. This may cause Google to record the IP address of the request; it does not set tracking cookies.
- Conversion pixels — beyond the Meta Pixel above, we may load similar conversion pixels from Google Ads and LinkedIn only when you have accepted marketing cookies. None of them load before you give consent.
7. Your choices
You are always in control of non-essential cookies. The consent banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or refuse analytics and marketing cookies separately. You can re-open the banner at any time from the footer of the site and change your decision.
You can also clear or block cookies directly from your browser. Every modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Opera — provides settings to delete existing cookies and to refuse new ones, either by site or globally. Blocking essential cookies may make parts of monezzi.com stop working as expected, including sign-in and checkout.
We honour the Do Not Track signal where it is technically supported by the browser. If your browser sends Do Not Track, we will treat that as a refusal of analytics and marketing cookies.
For your full data rights — access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection and the right to file a complaint — see our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect new cookies we add, providers we drop, or legal requirements in the countries where we operate. The current version is always available at this URL and the date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. We recommend checking this page from time to time.
9. Contact us
If you have questions about this Cookie Policy or about how we use cookies, please write to our privacy team. We reply to every legitimate request and we keep the conversation in writing so there is a record on both sides.
